My general and cosmetic procedures come with a gentle touch, and include exams, cleanings, fillings, bonding, crowns, veneers, bridges, select denture services, implant restorations, and whitening. He is a highly regarded teacher of ophthalmology trainees and has twice been awarded the Trainer of Excellence awarded by the Royal. I believe in honest, affordable dentistry and educate my patients on the process for each procedure so there are no surprises. Dr Downie specialises in the medical and surgical care of retinal and macula diseases, particularly retinal detachment, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease. I love being able to spend time with patients and actually getting to know them. I have two wonderful assistants, amazing dental hygienists, and an awesome office manager, who happens to be my mom. Before moving to Tampa, I earned my DDS from the Indiana University School of Dentistry and joined my father’s dental practice, where I worked with him for four years. Growing up, I spent a lot of time in my dad’s dental office after school.
